The Book Won't Read Itself.

They changed our culture; We said its okay. They changed our language; We said its okay. They changed our government; We said its okay. They changed our food; We said its okay. They changed our Education; We said its okay. We told them; we are capable; They said its okay. We tagged them to be monsters; They said they are. We asked them to leave; They left. They told us; we shall surely beg them one day; We said it was a lie. They told us; we shall look upon them for survival; We said they were joking. They told us; Some of us will betray us; We told them we are united. They told us to think; We said we reason.

Indeed, we reason! For the ruins of our land. For the vague of our plans and for our crippled span. This our generation is crippled for the love of luxuries. It is lame for the search of wealth. It is blind for the lack of reasoning. Students hate books yet they love brooks. They hate reading yet they love streaming. They put pleasures in times of leisure forgetting that treasures always features the adventures of the future. The minds of every generation determines the absolutism of how they would steer their affairs when the mantle is handed over to them. Our generation lacks wisdom for that matter we shall still hang on corruption, bigotry, insanity, negligence and ignorance. Our libraries where we think there is no wisdom are being closed everyday. Inside our books are words which tarnishes the image of our thinking for good. We don't read; We only read for exams. We don't write; We only write for grades. We don't search; We only search for job. We don't explore; We only explore for pleasures. Our minds are crooked inside a hooked rook with spoof. Book lovers are tagged book longs; for the amusement of the stupids. Our chapters are closed yet we hunt for ill-ideas not from those who sees our degradation but from the perpetrators of our ruins. For we don't know; that they rule for us to bull in the school of fools.

The pain we reign has never rain anywhere in their terrain. The books we burn are the artifacts of their decoration. The libraries we look with white eyes; They look at them with red eyes. It's time, my fellow students, that we start reading. Let's read to challenge, let' read to change our mindsets. Let's read to harbor ideas; let's read to think, to reason and practice. Let's read to bring innovations to our own social dispensation. Our ill-politics can be in a good shape only when we read to better structures. Our Education is dying because we read without implying. Books are our only hope
for now.

Did You Talk to School Before Coming?

Did you talk to school before coming? Did you see him before coming? How well do you know him? And how often does he call onto your name? Are you guys friends or you just know each other by name and face? When you see school on pedestrian status, how will you greet him? When he enters your room, how will you welcome him? Do you even know what he is? Where he is? And What he is?

Well i guess the above questions and expressions sounds vague and void? But not to those who still feel the heat inside the abyss of education. Not to those who have had countless fatigue, frustrations, traumas and depressions. They would try to baffle these questions with their understanding. So far so bad, we're still under the curse of dumbness. The shackles of foolishness, selfishness, mediocrity and negligence of our leaders still holds the future of our generation in limbo. Countless number of decisions, childish way of planning, gross way of making things happen on our education. Students love school not for good reasons. They learn, not because of the love of knowledge, but for the love of certificate; and it's certificate with no skills, no wisdom, no understanding and no pragmatism. Students find difficulty in making decisions not because of how complex the decision but because they know nothing and have learn nothing. Students cheats in examination halls not because questions are always difficult, but because they don't understand what they are doing. They don't really know why they are learning. Why? Because the whole system have gotten it wrong in education.

Did you talk to school before coming? Did he tell you that people don't come to him for good life? Did he tell you that we don't come to him for mere certificate? Did he tell you that we don't come to him for money and luxuries? Did he tell you that we don't come to him for examination sake?

If you would have meet him and talk to him; you wouldn't have come to him to spend all your days doing the unnecessary. You would't have given yourself to a lecturer to give you mere Alphabet. You wouldn't have rely on a mere buying of handouts for good grades. You wouldn't have waited for hours to chew and pour. You wouldn't have relied on dressing to attract mimic fame. You wouldn't have spent your money on good shoes, good bags, good trousers, good shirts and feel reluctant to buy pamphlets and relevant books. You would't have come to offer good salary course. You wouldn't have come to fancy series movies with all your leisure time.

Talk to school, he will tell you his likes and dislikes.

Meet Him or Her: Lessons on Campus Friendship.

Through goodwill, pleasantries, smile, sense of humor and extrovertism we meet different kinds of people; with different backgrounds and creeds. Some are lessons, others are reasons. There is no accident in meeting someone because experience as we know, whether good or bad gives a lot about the future. Campus life is different, sometimes it irritates and sucks; but it never stop being interesting. There is this thought i want to share with you; In this world, we've all got our own world. Your world, My world. The way you are, how you were raised and brought up, the environment you were nurtured, the amenities that were at your disposal, friends that you grew up with, where you have been, all constitute your world. Your inner canal together with your natural embodiment determines your likes and dislikes. Of course, that also determines the kind of people you like and dislike. The question here is; do we get people we wanna live with by our own selves of life chooses for us? Well, that is a debate on it own. But i guess you can recall how you met all the friends you have now. There is this thing; You never knew you were going to meet them!

Maybe you are dating a guy you met at the revenue office when you were doing registration. He gave you pen to fill some forms and that ended with discussions on how the forms are going to be filled. You were so pleased and you exchange contacts. This can never be predetermined. So you see, reality is simple; you just have to accept that you never know the kind of people you are going to meet, you never know the kind of people you will get inside your world and for that matter your world is full of accidental people. That brings us to the conclusion that life choose people for us, we don't choose people for life. Well! you can argue, but you will still draw the conclusion that, You didn't choose your parent.

Campus friendship is; let's say tragedy-comedy or bitter honey, it never cease to be sour. Some degrades life, others improve life. some even changes life totally. But there is one thing i would like to emphasize in this short piece. Never fail to get the best out of anyone you meet. Irrespective of who he or she is. Never let he or she go with the quality, talent, abilities and virtues. Trust me, everyone has got these. That lady in your class that people say; she is prostitute, sleeping with different guys on campus can change your life; not in the bad way, but good. You only know her name; that she is a prostitute, you don't know her story. What about if she stops following guys and focus only on the good stuffs in her? Can you remember such lady with that same tag way back in High School? You see how better her life has been now? Yes! We never know what will happen next. In campus, there is no good or bad friends; they are good because you think they don't drink, party, smoke weed, womanize, quit lectures, chase guys, fool around, give sex for grades, don't learn. What about if i tell you those you think are good had once aborted 3 babies, killed for money rituals, masturbate, with other immoralities? People don't make us good, we make ourselves good for people to appreciate.

One thing happen but for once; meeting and getting chance to talk to him or her. Whatever be the kind of relationship; whether dating, courtship, sex mate, classmate, churchmate, coursemate whatsoever. Take chances, treat him or her well not for the sake of the current relationship, but for future when You and I need help. Be kind, caring, loving and gentle. Even if breakup time comes, do that with dignity and respect because whether you like it or not, that going to be your history for life. Don't exchange good reputation for bad friendship on campus; it mostly happens and people have lost tons of opportunities through that, precious people have walked out of people's life bitterly. Don't let such happen to you. Try to protect your dignity to keep precious people for future use

Do you wana know How to do that? More to come.

Inside The Minds of Freshers.

Anticipation broke when you received your admission text that you have been admitted to whatsoever school you opted. New beginning starts, therefore new end. What are your expectation? What are the new challenge? What are you going to do? Which kind of people are you going to meet? Will you mingle before you tingle or you will tingle before you mingle? that's up to you! Have you had a gist about what really goes on inside campus? or you just heard some lads chuckling about how daisy school life can be? whatever you heard, whatever you saw is just a way to shape your mind on how you can make something better to your life in school. You wont't believe though, but there are more to explore inside and outside campus than the learning and studying themselves. There are more personalities to be studied than just confusing yourself with your own personality. Life isn't good when is without education, better still, life can be good without education. So don't stress yourself too much on good life with education. Oh yea, that can make your friend depressions and anxiety.

Relationship? I tell you; you are exposed at all angles and i guess you want to know. But before i start teasing you, Hey! Don't give frozen excuses from your religious perspective, or self complacent dignity. Because you never know who is gonna come to sing your praise.

Okay! maybe you thought 1st Class, 2nd Class is the answer to your family woes, because you were told during your matriculation that such people get several opportunities to travel outside and also gets jobs with big salaries. Oh NO! dear, I am sorry, that's a big lie. Okay, do you remember that big box containing tons of envelops that the secretary asked you to add yours when you were submitting an application letter for employment after you completed High School? Yes! And you remember that academically poor guy, who had Fs in the final final exams but had opportunity to travel to Canada after completion? Good! Before we tell you why and how those envelops got many, let me say there were more 1st Graduates envelops in that box than you think. You know why? They listened to what you just heard couple of weeks ago. You were far better than some people colleagues and yet they are far ahead of you as the so-called good life is concern. Some are even owning their own business. So you see; you'd once competed with 1st Classes even at High School level. There are more to explore than the assignments, mid-sem and exams stuffs; those are just formalities in acquiring that A4 sheet. Good life is in the hands of your personality. The determination, consistency, perseverance, hardworking, focus and virtues. Wait for more.
